Mike Koopmans

Mike grew up on a farm near Ireton, Iowa, which his family continues to operate today. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from South Dakota State University, graduating in 1998. Following college, Mike began his career as an Agronomist with the Farmer’s Co‑op in Oyens, where he worked directly with landowners and operators to develop farm operating plans and guide crop input decisions.

Mike joined Coffman Farm Agency in the spring of 2008 and has since provided farm management and real estate sales services to AgCentric clients across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. In addition to holding real estate broker licenses in all three states, he is also a Certified Crop Adviser. In 2021, Mike partnered with Jason Woods to form AgCentric Farm Agency, LLC. He is an active member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

Mike and his wife, Tammy, live in Hinton, Iowa, and have two children, Caden and Kylie. Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending his children’s activities, and pursuing his hobbies—which include bowling, golf, tennis, and maintaining his yard.
